Smart Factory MES
What is Smart Factory?
A smart factory is a production system that combines IoT sensors and automation with equipment and processes, collecting and managing data across the entire production flow in real time. It shifts management away from reliance on human experience and intuition toward a data-driven approach, securing more consistent quality and efficiency.
What is an MES (Manufacturing Execution System)?
It is a system that records and manages, in real time, the data of every process — from raw material intake through production, packaging, and shipping. Because the progress and status of each process can be checked instantly, issues can be addressed proactively before they occur.
Wellbeing Garden's Smart Factory
Wellbeing Garden advanced its production system through Samsung Electronics' Win-Win Smart Factory support program for large and small–medium enterprises.
2024
Through Samsung Electronics' win-win smart factory support program, we introduced an MES (Manufacturing Execution System). We built the foundational framework for recording data across the entire process — from raw material intake to production — in real time, taking the first step in shifting management from reliance on human experience to a data-driven approach.
2025
Building on the established MES framework, we further advanced the smart factory by installing additional automation equipment. By converting repetitive manual processes to automated equipment, we improved both production efficiency and data accuracy at the same time..
2026
We expanded equipment that precisely controls temperature and humidity — such as aging and thawing rooms — further raising the precision of the overall process. In an environment designed by data down to temperature and time, we reliably produce products of uniform quality.
Data-driven production management leads not only to consistency in quality, but also to cost competitiveness by reducing unnecessary loss. Through its smart factory, Wellbeing Garden secures two competitive strengths at once: quality and price.
Smart HACCP
What is HACCP(Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)?
HACCP is a statutory certification system administered by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety that identifies and manages the hazards that may arise across every stage — from raw material management through manufacturing, processing, cooking, and distribution, up until the moment a consumer eats the product.
What is a CCP (Critical Control Point)?
A critical control point (CCP) is a point in the process that must be managed in order to prevent or eliminate hazards in advance. Wellbeing Garden designates three processes(heating, drying, and metal detection) as critical control points and manages them intensively.
The HACCP framework is recognized worldwide as the most effective and efficient food safety management system. Countries and organizations including the United States, Japan, the European Union, and international bodies recommend applying the HACCP framework to all food products.
What is Smart HACCP?
Smart HACCP applies IoT (Internet of Things) sensors and automatic recording systems to this HACCP framework, transforming the traditional manual inspection method into a real-time automated monitoring system. Placing safety first in its production, Wellbeing Garden has adopted a Smart HACCP system to automatically manage product quality and safety.
Wellbeing Garden's Smart HACCP-Managed Products
Wellbeing Garden operates its Smart HACCP system across its dried noodle and fresh (aged) noodle product lines.
Dried Noodles
What are dried noodles?
Dried noodles are noodle products distributed after undergoing a drying process.
Heating process monitoring
Microorganisms in the dough are eliminated through a 120℃ high-temperature extrusion process. This is the first gateway to securing final safety before distribution.
Drying process monitoring
Cold-air drying lowers the product's moisture content below the standard threshold.
Because lower moisture suppresses microbial growth in dried noodles, this process is the key control point determining the 18-month shelf life at room temperature.
Metal detection process monitoring
Before packaging, every product passes through a metal detector for a final check of foreign-material contamination before moving on to distribution.
Fresh Noodles
What are fresh (aged) noodles?
Fresh noodles are noodle products distributed through an aging and cold-chain (low-temperature) distribution process.
Heating process monitoring
As with dried noodles, primary sterilization is performed through a high-temperature process, but because fresh noodles are distributed while retaining a high moisture content, adherence to the temperature and time standards at the heating stage is managed even more strictly.
ultra-low-temperature aging monitoring
The temperature of the low-temperature (10℃ or below) and ultra-low-temperature (-10℃ or below) aging zones is monitored in real time. Since the high moisture content makes them vulnerable to microbial growth, any deviation from these temperature ranges is the key hazard control point for fresh noodles.
Metal detection process monitoring
As with dried noodles, every product passes through a metal detector before packaging.
International Certification and Export Compliance
Domestic HACCP certification alone has limits in proving the safety required for transactions with overseas buyers or for export customs clearance. Wellbeing Garden proactively meets international standards such as FSSC 22000, U.S. FDA facility registration, and HALAL, establishing the foundation to safely reach dining tables abroad as well as at home. The real-time recording and data-driven management of Smart HACCP serve as the practical operational foundation supporting the continuous transparency and traceability these international standards require.
These international certifications are not one-time audits; they are premised on maintaining a continuous management system. Through real-time recording and data-driven management, Wellbeing Garden's Smart HACCP serves as the practical operational foundation supporting the ongoing transparency and traceability these international standards demand.
